I have a BA(hons) in English and American Lit, and a MEd in TEFL and multicultural education.I have been a consultant in the fields of race and education for Gwent County Council, and done research in both fields.I have writtien a series of booklets for adult speakers of other languages, designed to assist them get into the British job market.
I have taught TEFL in various countries including Italy, Portugal, Germany (where I taught Business English), and Greece. I worked for a publishing house, Hillside Press in Athens, Greece for 7 years,writing and proofreading, then as editor.
As a freelance consultant I have written for publishers such as Headline.
I am currently an English coordinator (years 1-5) for a group of English-medium schools in the northern region of Pakistan, where I have lived for almost 2 years.I have written various articles, short stories and a novel which is awaiting publication.In my spare time I write for my husband's blog, wwwHerbs Treat and Taste, which gives recipes for herbs and spices and explains the health benefits of herbs, spices etc.However, I enjoy writing about other topics and am interested in current affairs.
